Well, back from college and now at home in Salinas. Going to be here until January. Fun fun.

Anyway, done with college for now, some of the class's grades have been posted, some haven't.

Music Appreciation: Grades haven't been released, but looking at the points scored/points possible, I failed. =\
Bowling: Passed with an A, of course.
Science: Haven't been released, but I have an 85.5% for the points scored/possible.
Geography: Got an A.
Government: No idea, no listing of points scored, hasn't put up the grades yet. Think I did well.
History: Points and grades haven't been posted, no idea how well I did.

Finals Week

This week that is just begun is finals week here at CSU Fresno. My history teacher decided that, due to having had to get emergency surgery the second time this year, this time on her leg, she would not be having the final in class and would instead have it done online.

So, she set it up to be available all day last Thursday, with a two hour time limit. After much messing around on Thursday I finally started it at 4:32 PM, saw it only had 30 questions, and finished five questions in as many minutes while still talking on the IRC channels I frequent. Then... The site we had to do the final on died... Yep. So, I was very annoyed, since it had said that in any interruption the time limit would continue, so I waited, and waited, and waited some more, until finally at 6:00 with it still not working I went to dinner for half an hour. When I came back at 6:31, still not working. Checked again at 6:38, finally working, although it said that I'd spent two hours and nine minutes working on something with a two hour limit. But, finished the rest of the questions in some 15 minutes, turned it in, and it accepted it. Managed to get an 86%, which means I missed 4 of the 30 questions, when the final question, which involved a quote from Abraham Lincoln, used a misquote, as just one example from the test.

Anyway... Music and science finals Monday, geography final Tuesday, Bowling final(which is just bowling for two hours)) Wednesday, and Government final this Thursday. Feel fairly confident in my ability to once again ace the tests without studying.

Meh. Almost finals week, have a bunch of long-term projects I haven't worked on that are almost due. Have no idea if I'll pass the classes due to the people in charge adding a writing requirement to all G.E. classes for no apparent reason... Mrg.

Tomorrow is the last day of Thanksgiving Break. Been a pretty average one, went to grandmother's house for Thanksgiving as usual, went to The Tech Museum in San Jose on Friday, got the Christmas tree today. Tomorrow, going back to college. Yep. Nothing of any real interest, just feel like updating this and showing the picture I got with the thermal camera at The Tech.

Nothing of any real note to post about. Got Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness. It's the same as the earlier mystery dungeon games, still fun. Still managing to get passing grades on college tests without bothering to study, so that's good.

Oh, and last night I had a weird dream/nightmare involving zombies, a giant tower, and some other stuff. It's... reminicient of some earlier dreams, although there aren't that many different types of zombie-dreams one can have... Anyway. That dream led to me waking up at five a.m., before managing to fall asleep again, but that made it so I didn't wake up in time for my eight a.m. geography class. Yep, zombies made it so I missed my geography class.

Think that's it... Oh, and a virtual cookie to anyone who gets where I got this avatar from.

Meh. This year I seem to have gotten to the "Highly stressed and feel like killing someone" phase earlier than usual. Last year it started around the end of October, after the economics teacher got back from medical leave. This year, been going on since before my birthday back in September, although I don't have one teacher to focus it on, as I did last year. This year it's just a combination of various stupid things, such as the state's discision to make it so ALL general education classes have a writing requirement. All of them. Even the recreational ones, like bowling and archery. Mostly though, it's history class. History class, in which I haven't learnt anything since elementary school. History class, in which the last one I got an A+ without ever paying attention or studying. History class, the class which this year, I cannot do the homework to to technical problems.
...
Meh.

College is going as I expected. Music is easy, Science I'm actually sort of learning, and bowling is quite fun. But, those are just my Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes... Tuesday and Thursday, I have to get up at seven to go to geography class, then I have a five hour wait until government, followed immediatily by history. Geography is, suprisingly, ok, despite the time I have to get up. Government isn't fun, but then, it's government. History, history class I loath. We've been in class for over a month now, still haven't learned anything. And of course, we passed the date we can drop classes without penalty. Eh.
Went and saw Ponyo today. Here's my short critique of it.

-------

It is cute, odd, and as confusing as some other Japanese movies. Art is as good as Ghibli studios usually does. It somehow manages to not have an antagonist but still have conflict. Ending is a bit lame, story is kind of predictable, but still an enjoyable movie. So, not as good in my opinion as some (Most) of Studio Ghibli's other works, but still reasonably good.

It's interesting. Of the... Six (non-related) females whose names I can actually remember: One I hate, one is an aquantance, one is a good friend, one is on online friend, one is online aquantance, and one is my oldest friend. That oldest friend has so far been the only female I was at all interested in possibly courting. But, they ended up being a lesbian and moved to Oregon. And the only other female friend I have (Not counting those on the internet) is in a "Are we in a relationship or not?" sort of thing with my brother. Neither of them really know. Anyway... Just posting because I haven't in a week.

Five years ago I was in 8th grade in middle school. My middle school that year decided to do contstruction on the locker rooms, which just heppened to have asbestos. How do I know they had asbestos in them? Why because they let us come to 10 ft away from the building, on which there were a few "Danger! Asbestos!" signs; while they were doing construction, releasing a giant cloud of debree through the basketball court and the rest of the recreational area the kids were supposed to go to at lunch... Yeah. Actually knew what asbestos was back then, so after reading that I told my friends that we shouldn't be breathing it and we ate inside for the week of construction. Of course, none of the teachers or supervisors told the other children to not go out in the cloud o' fun. Nowadays, not sure if it was that, or some other thing, but I have a permanent cough, even when otherwise completely healthy. If I get lung cancer I blame them.

Today my twin brother and I got bank accounts. Woooooooh. Next Thursday he's taking the driving test and I'm just applying for an official California ID. Happy Birthday to Witty (already said it on the IRC). Apparently we're going to Marine World for July 4th... And that's about it.
